Why do insects inspire so much fear and fascination? Is it their exoskeletal forms, their unnatural amount of legs, or their unexpected movements? Supposedly humans are hardwired to be afraid of bugs, but some of people can’t get enough of them. Children are the biggest fans of bugs and tend to look for them during backyard explorations. They keep them as pets, experiments, and souvenirs. In the ongoing theme of childlike wonder and curiosity, Insecta explores the theme of whimsical bugs found in magical places.
